Labeling
Tapes should be labeled with the client/label name, artist, song titles and side break information.
Sequencing
Songs should be in the correct order with the correct spacing. Changes in the sequencing or spacing between songs could result in extra charges. (You will be notified before incurring extra charges.) DAT tapes should have ID's and CD's indexes. Files should have all songs as one file for both or each side.
Side Break Pauses
Leave a pause between the sides. Enough space to easily cue up the start of a side is about 2 seconds. A longer pause of 10 or more seconds is preferred.
Matrix Number
Also known as the selection or catalog number, this is used for identification. This number or text is scribed in the lead-out area of the disc. The same number or text is on the record label to insure the label matches the side.
Mastering Instructions
Include instructions, if any, for Eq, levels, fades, compression, lock groove, or a scribe message with the order.
